VT RECEIVES BUSINESS RETENTION & EXPANSION AWARD

In partnership with the Ida County Economic Development, VT Industries, Inc. received the 2017 Business Retention and Expansion Award On May 4th, 2017. This award recognizes the significant impact a business has on its community. VT Industries has invested in many resources to ensure steady jobs and business growth in their community.

This award comes on behalf of the 20K expansion project VT Industries started fall of 2016. This 85,000 square foot expansion at the company’s headquarters in Holstein, Iowa is set to be complete fall of 2017. With this new addition VT plans to increase their total production capacity by over 25% of their current operations.

This expansion creates over 60 new job opportunities in Holstein, Iowa. VT Industries is the number one employer in Ida County where approximately 630 people are currently employed.  Company-wide, there are about 1,600 employees stretching across 11 U.S. locations and 1 in Canada.
