- The project’s high-security needs were met with flush wood veneer doors featuring the highest security rating possible (Class 40).
- The high-traffic corridors required doors with enhanced durability and scuff resistance.

Project Overview:
The upscale boutique Hotel Palomar Phoenix CityScape has 250 rooms ranging from 410 square foot single rooms to 1,700 square foot suites, all with high-quality accommodations. The Hotel Palomar is designed to give the comforts of home with the luxuries of a high-end hotel while creating a stress-free environment to make everyone feel welcome.
Building Challenge:
The hotel strives to make guests feel pampered, yet at home, with a modern look and bold colors. Beyond the aesthetic demands of the hotel, there also needed to be a level of comfort that comes from guests knowing that they are safe. The doors chosen needed to be fire-safe and help control sound, to make guests comfortable so they can really relax.
VT’s Contribution:
VT provided four types of doors for the project, over 600 total. Each type of door was designed for a specific function in the guest rooms, offices, and entrances. VT worked closely with Hotel Palomar Phoenix CityScape management to enhance the vibe of the building's ambiance while achieving all of the performance criteria.
