With 2017 flying by, we wanted to take a quick second and update you on the latest news from VT! With the recent rebound in single family construction, strong residential remodeling, as well as the continued strength of the multifamily business, there is expected to be sustained or increased business in the second half of 2017 and into 2018. Along with the increased need, laminate postform countertops continue to be a preferred choice in many multifamily and single family applications.
“VT Industries and our customers are in a great position to take advantage of the market with our wide array of edge profiles and nearly unlimited laminate patterns,” notes Chris Schlabach, VT Industries’ vice president of sales, countertop division.
In addition to VT Dimensions, VT customers can now provide A’vant vanities for bathrooms; a great way to sell more countertop product in the home and on a project. A’vant is available and stocked in standard vanity lengths including 25, 31, 37, 49, and 61 inches. A’vant vanities include your choice of an oval or rectangle bowl in white or bisque hues. Each vanity is individually packaged, with the bowl mounted and a backsplash included all in one, ready-to-install box. A nationwide network of A’vant distributors is being set up to handle the growing demand for A’vant vanities across a wide variety of customer types. From cabinet makers, countertop fabricators, plumbing supply houses, general contractors, kitchen and bath dealers, builders, to lumberyards.
For customers in our Iowa and Georgia plant service areas, a new full size panel brochure has been introduced. Customers are able to specify a wide range of core material and face and back laminate options. Additionally, our Georgia facility has the capability to offer cut to size panel parts as well as a variety of edge banding. With our current success with Dimensions, we see the opportunity to further diversify our product line and provide high quality panels to our valued customers.
As homeowner needs and market conditions evolve, we have decided to focus on our core strengths and success with our new and existing products. Therefore, we are discontinuing the VersaTop and TruQuartz brands under the GeoScapes brand. The discontinuation of these two product lines will not result in a reduction of employees. Please note, our GeoScapes commercial division will continue to sell fabricated projects, creating value for a wide range of customer types.
The first half of 2017 has been a great year thus far and we’re excited and optimistic about the remaining half! VT will continue to hold true to our promise to be innovative and remain a leader in the industry.
