VT Industries Updates Standard Factory Finishes for Architectural Wood Doors

July 2, 2018 – VT Industries is pleased to announce that they have updated their standard Factory Finishes for 2018. For the past nine months VT has been researching, analyzing, and collaborating to refresh the standard Factory Finish palette to better serve their customer base. The factory finish update expands the collection, giving customers the most sought after colors and wood species in today’s market, all in the company’s standard Factory Finish offering.

With the 2018 Factory Finish launch, VT is introducing two additional veneer species; Walnut and White Oak. These two veneers round out the veneer selections and have both seen resurgence in popularity since the Factory Finish palette was updated in 2015.

When analyzing the research data, VT realized the opportunity to update Riverstone and Savanna’s color formulas in order to better reflect custom color trends. The 2018 formulation of Riverstone is a much stronger, darker bluish grey than the 2015 finish and Savanna is fuller, darker and is redder in color. With these adjustments, the company looks to be able to capture more jobs with their standard finish colors, as opposed custom finishes. Additionally, VT discontinued the Restoration finish as a standard Factory Finish color, but will continue to offer it as custom finish.

VT Industries is proud to offer their customers more variety and versatility with their new 2018 Factory Finish stains and veneer species. VT ensures consistent and beautiful wood veneer doors with their UV cured factory finish process.  Advanced computer automation flawlessly applies each finish coat, and a computer-controlled automatic system applies durable, even coats to the company’s Heritage Collection doors.
