VT Industries is committed to the environment. It is VT’s policy to reduce and recycle all possible waste produced from everyday operations. This includes all paper, plastic, cardboard, and wood products.

Thousands of gallons of water are used in the fabrication process of VT GeoScapes. 95% of this water is reclaimed and reused in our on-site water treatment facility. Stone drop-off is also collected and used for back fill, crusher run, pavers, and aggregate for concrete.

In conjunction with our green fabrication techniques, VT GeoScapes offers several sustainable materials mindfully manufactured with Mother Nature in mind.

Silestone® by Cosentino

In every step of production, from natural stone extraction to transportation to manufacturing to installation, Cosentino is committed to respect and protect our environment. Investing in the systems for treating Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) has allowed the purification of 99% of the emissions generated by the factories. That means our products do more than meet industry requirements; they meet the expectations of a conscientious society.

Cosentino also cooperates with the stabilization of quarries, optimization of rubble generation, and natural erosion control. These, as well as some other actions, are helping Cosentino interact with our quarry surroundings in a respectful manner by generating new vegetation and the propagation of native species in the area. By doing so, we are trying to not only minimize the visual impact produced by the quarries’ presence, but also to utilize material that would not be used otherwise.

ECO™ by Cosentino

ECO™ by Cosentino is composed of mirrors salvaged from houses, buildings, and factories; glass from windshields, windows, and bottles; granulated glass from consumer recycling practices; porcelain from china, tiles, sinks, toilets, and ECO by Cosentino elements. ECO by Cosentino uses products that have reached the end of their lifecycle—this means materials being used in ECO by Cosentino cannot be incorporated into any other industrial product that would otherwise collect in landfills. ECO by Cosentino also uses an eco-friendly resin with 22% of its composition coming from vegetable origin (mainly corn).

This consumption of recycled materials results in the elimination of waste from landfills, the utilization of less energy in creation of new raw materials, brings products back to life, and reduces the utilization of natural resources and deforestation. Using ECO by Cosentino’s friendly resins results in less impact to air quality and less energy consumption. Additionally, 94% of the water used in the manufacturing process is recycled, and 99% of the Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are purified at the factory.
